The Graeme Robertson Trust (GRT) takes its responsibilities concerning data seriously and is committed to compliance with the Data Protection Act 1998.

This policy sets out how the GRT obtains data via the website and registration forms. All personal information collected by the GRT is used in accordance with UK data protection legislation.
This privacy policy only applies to the data provided to the GRT through the website. If, at any time, a user wishes to update or amend their personal data they can visit their profile on the website and click edit.
Sections of the GRT website
The Gallery
Users are advised that any work displayed in The Gallery must be the user's own work. Users have no right to display other peoples' work on the site. Users are also advised that any work displayed in The Gallery is done so at the users own risk. The GRT accept no responsibility should third parties copy work displayed in The Gallery.
Inbox
A user's inbox can receive communications from any registered user on the site. Users will not receive communications from third parties outside the registered site.
Tutors
When students at university register as Friends on the site, they will be asked to provide their university and tutor. As the safest way to allow communications from third parties outside the GRT site, the GRT will allow contact from third parties outside the GRT only through the tutor. Once initial contact has been made, the tutor can discuss this with the student and agree future communication methods.
Blog
Users accept that the information they provide as part of the Blog is accurate and that their use of the Blog adheres to the GRT terms and conditions of use.
Links to third party websites
This Privacy Policy applies only to the personal data collected by the GRT and does not apply to third party websites. The GRT is not responsible for the privacy policies of third party websites.
Security
The GRT holds your personal data in accordance with the security principles of the UK data protection legislation.
Notification of changes

Subject Access Request
Users have the right to ask the GRT in writing for a copy of the personal information held about them (upon payment of a fee) and to request the correction of any inaccurate information.
